The client sought to exchange the external e-commerce platform they were selling their products on for their own online store. We created one in WordPress with WooCommerce for artists selling Wood Wall Art.
To create a store structure and functionality similar to that offered by Etsy, which has so far benefited the customer in selling their products.
To adjust the appropriate e-commerce tools in order to present the products and artists accordingly.
Darkblue Design, a web and graphic design agency, based in Ireland.
The design was to fit the client’s requirements in accordance with the company branding. A WordPress template was fully customized in order to do this. The design is sleek, clear and user-friendly for the company’s customers to easily browse and order products, both on desktop and mobile devices.
The client had been selling her products on Etsy, so we decided to import all the products with details (incl. description, categories and features: prices, colours) using a WordPressplugin. We conducted the efficient conveyance of more than 130 products onto the newly implemented e-commerce site. We changed the structure of categories and subcategories, adapted them to new the requirements and presented them in a user-friendly form.
The most important aspect was the appropriate presentation of the products, creating a single product subpage focused on the product photograph presentation. We created a structure consisting of a main photo container, a thumbnail slider below and created a pop-up showing each picture in its full size. Products are assigned to different shipping rate groups, depending on product sizes.
